Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce enough insulin or cannot use it properly, leading to increased blood sugar levels.

Symptoms:
⬆️ Increased thirst
Frequent urination
️ Increased appetite
⚖️ Weight loss

⚠️ Causes that may lead to diabetes:
Overweight and lack of physical activity
Inappropriate, carbohydrate-rich diet
Age (more common in middle-aged and older cats)
Certain diseases and medications (e.g. corticosteroids)

What to do?
Early diagnosis and proper treatment help cats live a full and happy life.
